            Dope ass shirts n' shit

Initially came across you guys from an advertisement for your Dragonite hoodie. Got it, and I love it. I'm just a little too chunky atm for it, so I'll have to work on that LMAO.

The longsleve however fit perfectly. I like how it seems thinner than other long sleeves I have, so there alot more breathability in it. 9/10

            Beautiful design and very comfortable

This has to be one of the most eye catching designs I’ve ever seen. Got multiple compliments from my partner and my family. Everyone would like their own version. Material is very comfy, the cut is modern and the elastic wrists prevent the sleeves from riding up when inside your winter coat/sweater.

Great quality but colour was a bit off

Great quality jacket but it's a light light purple so it doesn't look like the picture at all.
The shirt I got was amazing and looks great

            Easy checkout, fast delivery,

The shirt itself is a bit thin but other than that great service.

                      Artist Interview
Tell us a little about yourself?
I am from England and when I’m not making art I work as a chef.
How and when did you start getting into Pokemon/vaporwave art?
I’ve been making Pokemon based artwork since early 2018. Before this I mainly made surreal landscape art in the form of collage art by cutting up vintage Nat Geo magazines for several years. At some point in 2017 I began incorporating my love of the vaporwave aesthetic into this art, adding digital effects to my traditional practice.
                      What inspires you?
Escapism. All of my art is about immersing myself in fictional worlds. Even as a small child I was making my own Pokemon cards and stories. I’d draw made up Pokemon maps, make pretend wanted posters for Star Wars characters, craft Lord of the Rings weapons like bows and arrows with elvish writing on them, make Harry Potter wands and pretend shopping lists for Diagon Alley and homework for Hogwarts. It was all about expanding the lore of these places I loved, blurring the boundaries between these imaginary worlds and our reality.
This caused problems when I was studying Fine Art at university, I despise conceptual art and most of the contemporary theory based art gallery world. I like simple beauty and craftsmanship. My tutors at art school were always pushing me to make political art and to try address social issues with it, which just isn’t something I ever felt comfortable doing. It was dragging the worst parts of our reality into that one sacred peaceful place I had, art.
A genuine quote from my art tutor “It’s just too nice. What do you hate? Try making art about that.” I couldn’t wait to leave, get my degree and go make the art that genuinely expresses myself. Which is what I’m doing now and surprisingly lots of other people love seeing what I make too which inspires me all the more.
What other genres of art do you like?
Aside from my beloved 90s inspirations like vaporwave, pixel art and the whole aesthetic movement I love 80s styles like outrun and synthwave. Just from a purely visual stand point I really love North Korean and Soviet artwork. There’s a bold simplicity to it that I admire and even the more traditional Korean art full of floral patterns and pastel colours.
Traditional Japanese wood block prints are sublime, as well as old Chinese ink drawings. Gothic cathedral architecture are some of the most awe inspiring structures on the planet to me. I love the photomontages of Superstudio too, an Italian architecture movement from the 60s. Anything from the retro-futurism genre excites me.
                      What's your process?
It’s so wide and varied because of the number of mediums I jump between and often too chaotic, undisciplined and chance based to give a simple coherent breakdown of. I often sit down with zero plan or idea of what I’m going to make. This keeps it exciting for me.
How did you learn to do graphic design?
I studied graphic design at college for 2 years, then Fine Art at university for 3 years but honestly I learned very little in terms of technique or form. It was 95% theory. I taught myself Photoshop on an outdated French version I couldn’t understand, it was a lot of trial and error and just playing with every button and setting I could find. I learned a lot by just messing around making memes.
                      What artists do you follow?
Here’s a few from my Instagram I particularly enjoy:
                      • Khaled @kldpxl makes some of the best pixel art I’ve ever seen. There’s many great pixel artists I could list but he is definitely my favourite.
                      • David Jien @david_jien has created a fantastical world full of characters, places and stories that are drawn and sculptured in just the most detailed, exquisite, colourful imaginative style. His art looks like pencil drawn gameboy tapestries from out of space. Fully recommend following his work.
                      • @8pxl_  Again another sublime pixel artist, she particularly inspires me with her colour choices.
                      • Oliver Hamlin @oliver_hamlin I regularly browse his art, it’s full of quaint, gorgeous, playful and creative watercolour paintings of Pokemon.
                      • Jesse Treece @jessetreececollage is someone I’ve followed for the longest of time, learned a lot from him. Master of composition.
Do you have any other hobbies you love?
Football or soccer as some may call it. I don’t really follow it anymore but I love playing it. I’m obsessed with nutrition and food, meme culture and Youtube. I obviously love anything and everything Pokemon, the cards, the anime, the games etc. I play too much Pokemon Go.
If you could catch and have one Pokemon as a pet, which would it be and why?
100% ABRA. We could communicate telepathically. It sleeps 18 hours per day. It’s kind of like having a cat that floats and can teleport me and itself places. Maximum laziness and hates being around people, I respect it.
If you could live in any year, what year would you choose and why?
2077 so Keanu Reeves could wake me up to go burn a city.

                      Pleasantly Surprised

When you order from an Instagram ad targeted at you so specifically, I dread for bad quality products from China. In fact I ordered from an similar aesthetic company at the same time as this and had that result. When both packages arrived, publicspace indeed is from America. I hand wash items like this before wearing, these garments had a vinegar scent from how they’ve been treated (helps print cure to the shirt) but they have been treated which is important and the scent effortless washed out. They’re incredibly soft. The fabric didn’t bleed dye. The package from the other Instagram ad smelled of plastic chemicals, it took several washes for me to get the dye and smell out enough so it wouldn’t transfer to my skin, and it wasn’t as advertised.
I will order from publicspace again and again. The quality is as advertised. The sizing was on point. You can tell it’s crafted by a smaller business in America. Sure it’s not 100% perfect and they have room to grow as a company, but in a world where more than half the things we’re being advertised are inaccurate, scams, and stolen art from Etsy mass produced, publicspace REALLY came through with high quality materials and really unique design. 100% worth the money.

Great shirt. High Quality and vibrant colors.

Very nice and unique shirt. It's built to last and the colors are very bright and vibrant. Received it within a week, too! Have ordered from these guys multiple times already! Thanks again!

I actually love the fabric it’s really soft and flowey. It shipped fast. I’ll definitely order again!

                      E.
                      publicspace quality as expected

Really good material on this shirt. Super comfortable. The graphics are good quality and bright on the black background. Sizing tends to run a little small on the shirts; I normally wear a medium but wear a large and it's right on point at 5'8" 170. Got multiple compliments on the bulba design, but who doesn't love Bulbasaur?

Overall nice feeling and looking product

Most important: i love the design! It's a fun, good looking shirt that is comfortable and got me quite a few compliments.

Why not 5 stars? Specifically on the front of the shirt, it felt like the graphic was slightly too low that it hit my chest in a slightly odd way. The other thing is that because the whole design is printed on white fabric, the inside of the shirt is still white. If the edges come up at all you can see the white, and it's especially noticable with a black shirt. Neither of these things are dealbreakers and I love the shirt, just thought I would mention.

My boyfriend loved it!! He wears it almost everyday because of how comfortable it is!!

I really love this shirt and the material. This shirt is more quality of than any cotton shirt and the design isn't a free one.
                                                    Love it!

                                                    What?

Just got the shirt that I ordered on the 5th of this month and I'm honestly very, very disappointed. First off, the print that I got isn't even the same as the one in the picture! The star/galaxy pattern is way less detailed and doesn't even look as good or as cool as the picture like as if the resolution was lowered. The material does not feel like cotton, it feels and fits as if I'm putting on a rash guard no lie. The way it fits on the model is not how it fits irl. The picture is not what you get, either that or the quality control is lacking. The inside of the shirt is white, not black like the picture and the darkness of the black on the front of the shirt to really create that contrast, isn't there either - its more of a dark grey. Definitely sending back, definitely not worth the price.

The designs are always original and nothing like anywhere else I can find. Very nice shirt. I get compliments on all of my publicspace set, including this one.

Normally I'm afraid to buy long sleeve shirts because I have unusually long arms, but this shirt actually fit me really well. One of the most reasonable sleeve lengths I have ever seen! The design and feel are obviously quite good as well! Definitely would recommend.

His art looks like pencil drawn gameboy tapestries from out of space. Fully recommend following his work.

I’m obsessed with nutrition and food, meme culture and Youtube. I obviously love anything and everything Pokemon, the cards, the anime, the games etc. I play too much Pokemon Go.

It's a hard balance to strike and p u b l i c s p a c e have absolutely smashed it. The vaporwave vibe and the old school subject with modern graphic design practises make this stuff top end. The material is great and the shipping was no hassle. Super vibrant, exactly as advertised. Highly recommend.

I have to be honest. I never had an N64 (except for that one week when CJ and I swapped Playstation / N64 consoles). But I still have Mario Kart nostalgia. I probably liked the N64 more than the Playstation because I only got to play them at friend's homes.

This image is from the Japanese cover art. I've been going through a real phase with vintage print ads and video game covers. I think that most graphic T designers draw too much inspiration from other clothing brands, and not enough from the world. This, along with most of the other stuff I make, is my small attempt to rectify that.

I'm happy with the quality of the design, It's not the sort of thing that would wash off, which was my primary concern. Another good purchase from this site, and I'm sure I'll be back for more.

2077 so Keanu Reeves could wake me up to go burn a city.

Was incredibly satisfied with how the shirt turned out. Colors all work well together and I love the breathability it offers as well. 10/10 would buy the other two starters if you made them.

                                                                                                      M

                                                                                                      I love this shirt!

I did not expect the quality to be so amazing on this shirt. It’s a smooth, soft, and sturdy fabric that is very comfortable. The design looks even better in person. Just can’t say enough good things about, I ordered a size up, fits perfect but I like my shirts loose fitting.

                                                                                                      L

I love it! Squirtle is my favorite starter. Took about 3 weeks to get it. Has a stretchy feel to it so you may want to go up a size.

                                                                                                      E

Female buyers be warned - The light blue circle and wave part of this shirt is quite sheer so your bra will be obvious. Fixable with an undershirt, but if you don't like the hassle or extra layer this one probably won't be a good choice.

Also, for anyone looking for a translation: It's in Korean, the top says 포켓몬스터 (Poketmonseuteo - Pokemon), the bottom says 꼬부기 (Kkobugi - Squirtle)

The shirt is perfect, smooth and soft dream material. We’ve washed it and NONE of the colors ran, the print stayed as sharp as ever and the size held. 10/10 will definitely buy from publicspace again.

2077 so Keanu Reeves could wake me up to go burn a city.

Very, soft, sturdy, and comfortable, I ordered a size up and it fit perfectly but I like my shirts loose fitting.

I know they warn you that the sizes are small and to order up a size, but the T shirts especially are small. I usually wear a medium, got a Large, and could have gotten an XL and it may have still been tight. Really dope design. The hoodies are very high quality with excellent, comfortable fabric. The T is a bit over priced for the quality in my opinion, but you can’t best the designs. Not trying to be a hater just honest. I’ll still buy more. Keep doing your thang!

According to him, it is comfortable, the print is awesome and it is well-made and well worth the little wait for such good quality. Highly recommend!

There’s many great pixel artists I could list but he is definitely my favourite.
                                                                                                                                                                  • David Jien @david_jien has created a fantastical world full of characters, places and stories that are drawn and sculptured in just the most detailed, exquisite, colourful imaginative style. His art looks like pencil drawn gameboy tapestries from out of space. Fully recommend following his work.
                                                                                                                                                                  • @8pxl_  Again another sublime pixel artist, she particularly inspires me with her colour choices.

                                                                                                                                                                  • Jesse Treece @jessetreececollage is someone I’ve followed for the longest of time, learned a lot from him. Master of composition.

We could communicate telepathically. It sleeps 18 hours per day. It’s kind of like having a cat that floats and can teleport me and itself places. Maximum laziness and hates being around people, I respect it.

First I ordered a hoodie for my boyfriend and he would never take it off, so I ordered this shirt for my brother and it is great quality! You can never find something with this style in stores and it's so unique and special, they both get compliments all the time!

Super soft. The design is printed on and it isn't like that sticky, tacky stuff they print on cheap shirts. I don't have to worry about the design cracking or flaking away, though I am curious to see how the fabric holds up over time and multiple washes. Either way, I'm over the moon about the fantastic design and how it feels while wearing it.

Did not mind the wait for the made to order, still came relatively quick and is more eco-friendly.

Not enough to go down a size, but ever so slightly. The quality of clothes are great so no complaints there though. Regardless, the shirt is great and still stylish. The slight size variation does not really make a difference.

There’s many great pixel artists I could list but he is definitely my favourite.

His art looks like pencil drawn gameboy tapestries from out of space. Fully recommend following his work.

                                                                                                                                                                                                • Jesse Treece @jessetreececollage is someone I’ve followed for the longest of time, learned a lot from him. Master of composition.

We could communicate telepathically. It sleeps 18 hours per day. It’s kind of like having a cat that floats and can teleport me and itself places. Maximum laziness and hates being around people, I respect it.

Yee in the 2019 Pokemon cypher wearing this shirt, I knew I had to have it. Being a pokemon fan, and of course and fan of burger king, it just hit me in my heart and my stomach at the same time. Hahaha. The shirt fits perfectly and the fabric feels amazing. Plus the Nidoking in the Burger logo with the nidoking head on top is amazing. I can't wait to buy more stuff from this site.
